Megastar Mammootty and South Indian actress Nayantara's upcoming Malayalam movie "Puthiya Niyamam" is the first release of the actors in 2016, and the family entertainer, directed by AK Saajan, is one of the much-awaited projects in Malayalam.
Due to the star cast, the movie has been hitting the headlines ever since it went on floors. Latest reports suggest Tamil actor Arya will also be part of the Mammootty-starrer. Earlier, the megastar had shared a selfie of having Onam sadya with Arya and it is believed to be from the sets of the upcoming movie. If the rumour rings true, it will be Arya's third movie in Malayalam.

In "Puthiya Niyamam", Mammootty plays the role of Advocate Louis Pothen and Nayantara plays his wife Vasuki Iyer. The film marks the comeback of the couple after the hit movie "Bhaskar The Rascal" in 2015.
"Puthiya Niyamam" also has Sheelu Abraham, Rachana Narayanankutty, Baby Ananya, Aju Varghese, Vinay Forrt, Jayaraj Warrier and SN Swami in significant roles.The 2-hour-13-minute family entertainer is being produced by P Venugopal and Geo Abraham, and is scheduled to hit the screens in Kerala on 12 February, locking horns with Jayan K Nair's "Hello Namasthe".
Meanwhile, Arya, who hails from Kerala, has become an established actor in Tamil and made his debut in Malayalam with Santhosh Sivan's blockbuster movie "Urumi" in 2011, and was also seen in the lead role in Lijo Pellisserry's "Double Barrel" last year. Arya, who co-owns the production company August Cinemas with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Santosh Sivan and Shaji Nadesan, is also producing the upcoming movie "Darvinte Parinamam".
