Ajith's recent films have clearly shown that he does not overshadow his co-stars, rather consciously gives them enough screenspace. His latest movie "Yennai Arindhaal" is proof of it, in which actor Arun Vijay gets high visibility.
Arun Vijay, of "Malai Malai" and "Thadaiyara Thaakka" fame, has generated a lot of curiosity about his role and and has kept everybody guessing. While it is widely believed that he is the villain, the film's trailer does not shown him as a baddie.
In fact, none from even his team knows about his role in "Yennai Arindhaal", suggesting that it could be interesting.
Arun Vijay himself has said that it will be a surprise package for the audience.
"Nobody even knows my name in the film yet! People who watched the trailer guessed I was a Christian, but that's about it. It'll be a surprise package," The Hindu quotes Arun Vijay as saying.
This need not come as a surprise, as Ajith's recent films have given due importance to other characters. Unlike other stars, his films do not belong to one man (the hero), but also to supporting characters, in a well-written script. Be it in "Mankatha" or "Arrambam", Ajith's films had good scope for other characters.
It is interesting to see how Gautham Menon, known for making character-driven films, will present Arun Vijay in "Yennai Arindhaal".
The other lead roles in "Yennai Arindhaal" are played by Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty.
Fans Praise Ajith
Ajith fans are praising him for his magnamity to allow directors to give importance to all characters in his films. Unlike some heroes, he is not insecure and wants to work with others as a team, they say on Twitter.
"Yennai Arindhaal", which is produced AM Rathnam, will hit the screens on 29 January. The Tamil film will be simultaneously releasing in Telugu.
