The festival is being organised by centre for preservation and promotion of heritage Punarjyot in collaboration with its Lahore-based counterpart Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop (RPTW). Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil who was present at the festival, said peace will come not with fights but maturity. Indian artist Geetan said that the event had provided an opportunity to share stage with renowned artists such as Sufi singers from Pakistan.
