Cupertino-based Apple is all set to re-launch iPhone 4 (8GB) in India for around ₹23,000.
Earlier in the week, there were reports that the Apple would begin re-selling the 2012 model in India for ₹15,000 via buy-back and EMI (Easy Monthly Installments) schemes. Now it turns out that the company would re-launch the iPhone 4 for ₹22,000 as pricing the premium device at a dirt-cheap ₹15,000 was impractical, reported TechCrunch.
The Indian arm of technology website BGR citing sources inside Apple's distributor partners has learnt that Apple would sell iPhone 4 for ₹29,900. It added that the company's distributing associates are also offering 10 free iPhone 4 models to smartphone vendors for every 100 units they buy. The move is seen to encourage retailers to lower the prices of iPhone 4 and still be able to get a considerable profit out of it.
As of now, neither Apple nor it's official distributing partners has replied to the reports circulating in the media.
