The romantic entertainer took a fantastic start on the first day of its release, thanks to positive pre-release buzz and the film's promotional activities. Since "Uyyala Jampala" released on a holiday, it also considerably helped the film to earn decent collections.
Despite facing strong competition from new Telugu release "D for Dopidi" and Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3", "Uyyala Jampala" managed to sustain its business at the box office. The film has taken a rollicking start in "A" centres and multiplexes. According to Andhraboxoffice, the evening shows of "Uyyala Jampala" ran in fully packed theatres. However, details about the film's first day collections are yet to be made available.

Directed by debutant Virinchi Varma, "Uyyala Jampala" is a cute love story set in a village backdrop. The film has newcomers Raj Tarun and Avika Gor (who played Anandi in "Chinnari Pellikooturu" TV serial) as the main leads. The film also has Punarnavi and Peela Gangadhar in supporting roles. Critics have appreciated the performances of the lead actors as well as the technical aspects of the film.
