South Korean consumer electronics giant, Samsung has begun taking pre-orders for the company's recently unveiled flagship gadgets - Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch in India.
Samsung's official e-store has opened the windows for Indians to book the new Galaxy Gadgets. Prospective buyers have been given the option to book both the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear for ₹2,000 as pre-advance amount, or book only Galaxy phablet (if the consumer is not interested in the combo deal with smartwatch) for the same pre-advance amount. However, the company is still tight-lipped on the final prices of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3:
Samsung's new Galaxy phablet flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD 1920x1080p display resolution and runs on the latest Android mobile OS v4.3 Jelly Bean. Thanks to new Android OS, the phablet is the first device in the Galaxy smartphone family to be compatible with Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
It is reported the new smartwatch will be compatible with Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 once Android v4.3 OS update is released for the devices.
Keeping India's 3G network-connectivity in mind, Samsung is also releasing Galaxy Note 3 variant with company's very own manufactured chipset, Exynos 5420 Octa-Core (it has two quad-core processors-A15 1.9 GHz and A7 1.3 GHz) with 3GB RAM, a sumptuous physical memory enough to run 3D and any processor-intensive games smoothly.

The Safety assistance application found in the smartwatch will come in handy for women (especially in India). In times of emergencies, users can press the power button of Galaxy Gear thrice (continuously), and smartwatch will quickly shoots user's geographical location data to pre designated set of contacts via SMS.
Other mentionable character of the Galaxy Gear is that user can answer call directly on the smartwatch without pulling out the smartphone from the pocket. It comes with two microphones and a speaker, and features Bluetooth v4 LE and S voice functionality to connect to the smartphone.
Currently the smartwatch will be compatible with only Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablet but it will be compatible with Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 once Android v4.3 update is released to the devices next month.
Both Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are already up for pre-order in US and UK at online retail shops.
After evaluating the prevailing prices seen in these markets, one can expect Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to be priced around ₹45,000 to ₹60,000 in India, whereas the smartwatch Galaxy Gear may come with a price-tag ranging between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000.
