After their pairing in "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", actors Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif would be seen together in a Hindi remake of the Hollywood film "Knight and Day" starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
The 2010 romantic action comedy film was directed by James Mangold and had received a mixed response at the box office.
Fox Star Studios decided to remake the film in a Hindi version with new twists and a whole different storyline, Press Trust of India reported.
"We are making that film in Hindi. I can't talk much about the project as it is too early," Vivek Krishnani, Fox Star Studios, Head of Distribution -- marketing and syndication, told the news agency.
The Bollywood version will be directed by "Anjana Anjani" director Siddhartha Anand.
Hrithik has been roped in to play Tom Cruise's character, while Katrina has been signed to play Cameron Diaz's character in the film.
"We have signed Hrithik and Katrina for the Hindi remake of the film," Krishnani said adding that film will start production next year.
Hrithik and Katirna's pairing was well appreciated in "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", which was one of the top grossing films of Bollywood in 2011.
"The Hrithik-Katrina pairing in Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was well received by the audience. Besides, both of them are very popular with the youth," CEO of Fox Star Studio Vijay Singh confirmed to The Times of India.
He also said that the film will be shot in India, Middle East and Europe.
