Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has claimed he is not distracted by the reports claiming La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to break the bank to secure his services as he is just focusing on helping the Gunners to win their second FA Cup final in a row.
The Catalan club has stolen a number of players from the Emirates Stadium, including Thierry Henry, Cesc Fàbregas, Alexander Hleb, Alex Song and Thomas Vermaelen.
And even though Luis Enriques side are unable to sign players until January 2016, due to a Fifa transfer embargo, recent reports claimed they are preparing a £50m bid to secure another Arsenal star in Ramsey.
Wales manager Chris Coleman recently added fuel to the speculations claiming that the player would be a perfect fit for the Barcelona style.
I am not surprised at that link because, if you look at the way Aaron plays and the way Barcelona play with all that imagination, it is not too dissimilar to the way Arsenal play. So ability-wise at his best is Aaron good enough for Barcelona? Yes he is, Coleman said.
But asked about this in a press conference ahead of the FA Cup final, Ramsey said: I dont know. It is just something that have been written on the papers.
I am focused on Arsenal and winning the FA Cup so that sort of news does not affect me or even enter in my mind.
And questioned whether such a big club appeals to him, he insisted: No. Not at this time.
I am focusing on the FA Cup. Its what appeals me at this time.
The Wales star was the hero of the last FA Cup final after scoring the 3-2 winner against Hull City in extra time to end a nine-year spell without silverware.
Ramsey hopes to help his side retain the trophy against Aston Villa on Saturday 30 May and keep its good run going.
I am really looking forward to it. To play in another final is where we wanted to be. Its another opportunity to win the FA Cup. To score the winner last year, that was just a dream come true and hopefully I can relive that again, he said
I have been throw a lot in my career so far. I am still only 24, so there is still much to achieve and to win. Thats what I aiming to do now. Hopefully, we can win the FA Cup this year and that would be winning two things in two years. And hopefully we can just keep that going, that run of winning things.
