Arrow will premiere season 5 next Wednesday, October 5, at 8pm EST on The CW. Episode 1 is titled Legacy and it will introduce a new villain named Tobias Church to the viewers.
The evil character will be played by actor Chad L. Coleman of The Wire fame. His character is described as a deadly criminal, who becomes a threat to the people of Star City.
Meanwhile, the premiere trailer of Arrow season 5 teases a new set of vigilantes, who will be trained under Oliver Queen to form a new team. In the 30-second-long clip, Stephen Amell's character can be heard saying, "I'm recruiting a new team."
The promo video features the three vigilantes, Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt, Rick Gonzalez as Jack Wheeler and Madison McLaughlin as Evelyn Sharp, getting trained by the protagonist.
While Holt gradually becomes Mister Terrific, Wheeler turns out to be the Wild Dog and Sharp replaces Black Canary in the upcoming episodes of The CW series.

Meanwhile, the short description of the season premiere hints at a reunion between the popular onscreen power couple, Oliver and Felicity. Here is the official synopsis of Arrow season 5 episode 1:
After Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) death and the departures of both Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland) from Team Arrow, Oliver (Stephen Amell) takes to the streets solo to protect Star City's citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes.
Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes. Meanwhile, the flashbacks take us to Russia where Oliver faces off against the Bratva.
