"Arrow" is known as one of the darkest shows of the CW, and with the second half of Season 4 it is definitely living up to its reputation. In the upcoming episodes leading to the finale, fans will see Team Arrow trying to protect Star City from Genesis.
Major spoilers from "Genesis" and "Monument Point" ahead
In the upcoming episode, Darhk (Neal McDonough) will begin the Genesis, which is expected to result in the destruction of the world. However, Team Arrow doesn't have enough resources to save the people before this happens.
During these dark times, Felicity realises that she needs the help of her estranged father, who she helped put behind bars. Noah (Tom Amandes) will get quite a bit of screen time with his daughter in the upcoming episode.
According to the synopsis, Noah will also have a heart-to-heart talk with Oliver (Stephen Amell). It is understood that the talk leaves the Green Arrow rattled.

Fans know that in the previously-aired "Genesis," Oliver learned the darkness inside him would prevent him from channeling the light that could defeat Darhk's darkness. As of now, he believes that he cannot be the hero that Star City needs, but there is a possibility that he elevates to that level.
Diggle (David Ramsey) believes he avenged Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) death by killing his brother in Season 4 episode 20. However, the show has proved time and again that going down this dark path of revenge will not give one any happiness.
It might finally be up to Oliver to show Diggle the light that is left in the world. During the initial episodes of the show, Diggle was that ray of hope for Oliver, who was on a blind-sided path of vengeance. It might finally be time to return the favour.
This in turn might help redeem Oliver, making him a suitable host to channel the light. If not, Team Arrow will have to find a new hero who might be Mr Terrific aka Curtis (Echo Kellum).
