Fans of television shows are in for a disappointment on Wednesday, as several networks have decided to postpone airing new episodes of fan-favourite shows in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
The CW has ditched "Arrow" and FX has decided against screening a new episode of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" on Wednesday. But fans of musicals can tune into NBC's "The Making of Peter Pan Live!" where behind-the-scene footage from the musical will be aired from 8 p.m. onwards.
Through the one-hour special, fans will see Allison Williams learning to fly and Christopher Walken mastering the art of swordplay. The behind-the-scene footage is a look at the three-month countdown to "Peter Pan Live!" and viewers will get a chance to see what goes on behind creating the live version of "Peter Pan."
"Arrow" will be replaced by the Thanksgiving-themed movie "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," and "The Amazing Spider-Man" air in the time slot usually reserved for "American Horror Story: Freak Show."
Meanwhile, the next episode of Arrow, titled "The Brave and the Bold" will air on 3 December, and it will act as a crossover between "The Flash" and "Arrow."
According to the synopsis, Oliver, Arsenal, and Diggle will encounter the A.R.G.U.S team during their mission to track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness. When Diggle questions Lyla about the involvement of A.R.G.U.S. she defers until Harkness attacks the building and kills several agents. At this point the Arrow joins the fight and he gets help from an old friend – The Flash.
"Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city," the synopsis reads.
The 3 December episode of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" is titled "Blood Bath" and according to the official synopsis, "recent disappearances around camp raise Ethel's suspicion of Elsa. Gloria makes a last ditch effort to contain Dandy's bloodlust."
