The Odisha Police on Friday said suspected Al Qaeda terrorist Abdul Rehman, who was arrested in Cuttack on Wednesday, had received money in his bank account from London.
Police Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Sharma said Rehman had received a substantial amount from London this year, but did not say how much.
"We are examining the account details of Rehman and trying to find out who has sent the money from London," said Sharma.
The police has seized all bank accounts of Rehman, who was arrested in a joint operation by Odisha and Delhi police in Cuttack on Tuesday night.
Rehman, a member of Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), is currently in 12-day custody of Delhi police.
He has been booked in Cuttack under Sections 17, 18, 18 (B) and 20, Sharma said.
The Odisha police had said on Thursday that Rehman had links with a man involved in a failed car bomb attack at the Glasgow international airport in 2007.
