Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan, who is set to marry her long term boyfriend Aayush Sharma on Tuesday, 18 November, has arrived in Hyderabad on Monday along with other family members for the grand wedding ceremony.
The bride along with brothers Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail, father Saleem, mothers Salma, Helen and others landed in the city in the evening and headed straight to the Falaknuma Palace, reported IANS.
A huge crowd gathered outside the royal mansion that has been specially decorated for the grand celebration.
The security personnel guarded the entire road that led to the palace. Amidst tight security, the actor's fans stood for long hours to get a glimpse of the superstar but failed even after repeated attempts.
Even staff and guests were allowed to enter the hotel only after proper screening.
It is said that the security will be further tightened on the wedding day as many Bollywood and corporate biggies will turn up for the grand function.
Arpita's pre-wedding ceremony began in Mumbai with Haldi, Sangeet and Mehendi. The function held on Sunday at the actor's residence in Bandra was attended only by family and close friends.
Several celebs, including Salman's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and family, David Dhawan and family among others are expected to grace the occasion on Tuesday. From down South, Chiranjeevi and son Ram Charan will reportedly attend the ceremony.
While it is known that Salman's father has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reports suggest that Modi is unlikely to attend the reception.
The royal wedding will be followed by a star studded reception at Mumbai on 21 November.
