A series of attacks shook Kashmir on Tuesday evening. As many as 13 security personnel were injured in a span of just four hours. In the past 24 hours, there have been five attacks in south Kashmir and one in north Kashmir.
In Tral, located in Kashmir's Pulwama district, terrorists threw grenades at a CRPF camp injuring nine jawans in the evening. The injured jawans from the troop of 180th battalion of CRPF were shifted to a nearby hospital. Officials had cordoned off that area for nabbing the terrorists.
In the second incident, terrorists fired at security personnel who were on duty at a retired high court judge's residence in Anantnag district. Reports say two policemen got injured and also the terrorists snatched four service rifles from the policemen posted at the house.
In their attempt to attack a CRPF camp in Pulwama, the grenade they threw exploded mid-air and there were no casualties involved. In their fourth attempt, the terrorists threw a grenade at Pulwama police station, in which two policemen were injured.
Likewise, on Monday evening, two soldiers were injured when terrorists attacked a CRPF camp in Pulwama.
Reports quoted a senior police officer saying they had inputs about a possible terrorist attack on Tuesday and the information was shared with all the security agencies.
Last week, in the ten rounds of bullets that the terrorists fired when they attacked the police convoy near Kashmir's Quazigund, one civilian was killed.
