Newbies of Bollywood Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are on a roll with their films getting positive responses from audiences. And now, if rumours are to be believed, Arjun, Dhawan and Bhatt might get to share screen space with none other than Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan.
Dialogue writer duo Sajid—Farhad in an interview with Mumbai Mirror revealed that they are working on a script for director Rohit Shetty's next film and it will feature two younger heroes.
"It'll be another blockbuster. It's a commercial film with two younger heroes. Once they are cast, we will tweak the lines to suit their personalities. We wrote it three years ago and Shah Rukh's character will remind you of Mr Amitabh Bachchan's angry young man roles. People greeted his arrival with whistles, that's how they will respond to SRK too," the duo told the tabloid.
Now the latest report suggests that the Arjun and Dhawan could be roped in to play SRK's brothers in the film.
"It's an outand-out comedy with a strong emotional core- classic Rohit Shetty territory. To play SRK's chhote bhais, the makers have zeroed in on Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor," a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror.
However, when contacted, SRK's production house just said that Khan and Shetty will work together in director's next film after "Singham Returns".
Another source told DNA that the makers are planning to remake the 50's classic film "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi" in which Dhawan and Arjun will be seen playing SRK's younger brothers.
The older version had Ashok Kumar and his two real-life brothers Kishore Kumar and Anoop Kumar in the male lead roles and Bollywood diva Madhubala in female lead role.
DNA also reported that the "Highway" actress Bhatt could be roped to reprise Madhubala's role in the remake of classic film.
However, nothing has been officially announced either by the actors of the director Shetty. At present, Shetty is busy with his upcoming film "Singham Returns" starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead.
The film is set to release in theatres this Independence Day.
