Bollywood has given its enthusiasts some iconic onscreen pairs, some downright mismatched ones. Arjun Kapoor romancing Kareena Kapoor Khan, could be both.
The R Balki directorial is set to roll in July and will be released in 2016, according to a Times of India report.
The casting is interesting, considering the filmmaker's tendency to rope in artistes from the Bachchan family. After "Cheeni Kum", Balki is now ready to explore romance once again, but with younger stars.
"The film will roll this year for sure. Balki who introduced a new face, Akshara Haasan, in Shamitabh, is looking for a more established actress for this film so her dates will have to match," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, the "Gunday" actor is reportedly very thrilled to be part of the project. A light-hearted romance, Balki's next will definitely be a pleasant change for the Kapoor lad as he has mostly done intense love stories.
"Arjun is really kicked about the project because all his love stories so far -- Ishaqzaade, 2 States and even Finding Fanny -- have been intense. This one is a light-hearted love story with lots of laughs and he can't wait to get started," the insider added.
However, since there has been no official confirmation on the development yet, this can, at best, be counted as a speculation.
In other news, Kareena has just wrapped up Kabir Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", in which she plays a Hindu Brahmin girl alongside Salman Khan. Arjun, on the other hand, is busy brushing his hosting skills for the impending IIFA Awards 2015, to be held in Malaysia from 5 to 7 June.
