After the success of "Haider", Shahid Kapoor is now busy with his wedding arrangements that will be held in July. Apparently, due to his busy schedule, the actor has backed out of "Farzi" and he will be replaced by Arjun Kapoor.
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's "Farzi" has been delayed since last year because of Shahid's packed schedule. He has been busy shooting for "Haider", "Shaandaar" and "Udta Punjab". And now the actor has no time to think about anything else except his big fat wedding.
The filmmakers of "Farzi" planned to start shooting in the beginning of this year but the "Kaminey" actor was unable to give his dates. Therefore, the makers have approached Arjun Kapoor for the film and he is said to have liked the script.
"A lot of back and forth happened and Raj and DK tried working out Shahid's dates but nothing materialised. Also, the directors were keen on beginning the shoot soon and it's certain that Shahid will promote 'Shandaar' soon after his wedding. Therefore, they thought of replacing the actor and got Arjun Kapoor on board instead," Mid Day quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, the "Tevar" actor is working in R Balki's next opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan and there have been news that the actor is considering scripts at the moment.
"Arjun apart from Balki's next is considering several scripts at the moment. When he does make a choice, the producers will make an official announcement about the same," Arjun's spokesperson told Mid Day.
Produced by Eros, "Farzi" also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a cop and Kriti Sanon as Arjun's love interest.
