The trailer of Vikram's "Iru Mugan" was released on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The video has met with highly positive reviews from cine goers. Now, a top celebrity too has praised the clip. Well, it is none other than AR Murugadoss, who took to Twitter to praise the trailer.

AR Murugadoss tweeted, "#IRU MUGHAN trailer B0 fantastic@anandshank,vikram sir screen presence astonishing@Jharrisjayaraj @theedittable.[sic]"

The trailer has rich visuals and Vikram will be seen in multiple avatars. Chiyaan appears in dual roles of a RAW agent (Akhilan) and a scientist (Love). The video is loaded with necessary commercial ingredients and clearly shows that the film is set in Malaysia. Nithya Menen and Nayanthara are also part of the clip.

While Nithya Menen looks cute in her short appearance, Nayanthara will be seen in glamorous outfits. Overall, the trailer generates a lot of curiosity around the film without giving away anything about the storyline.

On the other hand, the trailer of "Iru Mugan" has become a hit among Tamil audience. In just over 24 hours, the video has garnered above 16 lakh hits with over 32,000 likes.

"Iru Mugan" is a thriller, written and directed by Anand Shankar. The film has Harris Jayaraj's music, RD Rajasekhar's cinematography and Bhuvan's editing. It has been shot in Malaysia, Ladakh, Bangkok and Chennai.

The film will hit the screens in September.
