Italian brand Aprilia launched the much-awaited SR 150 premium scooter in the Indian market on Aug. 22. The scooter, which has been priced at Rs. 65,000 is available for bookings across the country through Vespa brick and mortar stores and e-commerce retailer Paytm.
It is the first Aprilia model to be manufactured in the country and will be rolled out from Piaggio's India plant at Baramati city in Maharashtra's Pune district.
The scooter is open for booking through Paytm and it is offering a 50 per cent cashback on the booking amount. The e-retailer was initially offering a 100 per cent cashback on the booking amount. The buyers can use promo code APRILIA1K to get the cashback offer.
Although Aprilia SR 150 scooter has started arriving at the showrooms of the company, the delivery will take at least 30 days from the date of ordering. The Aprilia SR 150 is available in two colours - black and white. The current price of Aprilia SR 150 is introductory and the scooter is likely to see increase in the price after Diwali.
Aprilia SR 150 is powered by a 154.4cc 3-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that can churn out 11.39bhp of power and 11.5Nm of torque mated to a CVT unit. The Aprilia SR 150 has a 7- litre capacity fuel tank. It features an instrument cluster with a twin-pod analog unit for speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer and employs telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear.
