Italian brand Aprilia's upcoming scooter Aprilia SR 150 is grabbing headlines ahead of its launch in India.
The scooter, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 earlier in February, is expected to make its market entry in August.

Aprilia SR 150 is the first scooter of the Italian brand to be manufactured in India. The scooter will be produced at Piaggio's India plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
The scooter will be sold through Vespa dealers in India. The scooter has started reaching the showrooms ahead of its launch. The Vespa dealers across the country have also started accepting the bookings for the soon-to-be-launched scooter.
The Aprilia SR 150 has been priced at RS. 65,000(Ex-showroom). The price is likely to go up after the launch as the current one is an introductory price.
The scooter gets beak-styled front apron twin headlamp, handle bar-mounted turn indicators and instrument cluster with a twin pod analog unit for speedometre, fuel gauge and odometre.
Powering the Aprilia SR 150 is a 154.4cc 3-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that also does duty in the Vespa 150 in the country. The engine is expected to generate 11.8bhp of power and 11Nm of torque mated to a CVT unit.
It employs telescopic front forks and monoshock unit at the rear. Riding on 14-inch alloy wheels wrapped around 120/70 spec wheels, the braking duties are handled by 220mm disc at front and 140mm drum brakes at rear.
