Apple's Watch series 2 Nike+ edition made it's debut along with generic model on September 7 but its release date was still under wraps until now.
Apple India has announced that that the sports edition model will be released on October 28. It is said to be made available on authorised Apple stores, Nike's official website and Nike retail stores.
It comes in two models-- 38mm and 42mm -- case size for Rs. 32,900 and Rs. 34,900, respectively. Prospective buyers will get to choose multiple strap options including the Space Grey Aluminium case with Black or Volt Nike Sports band and Black/Cool Grey Nike Sport-band, whereas the Silver Aluminium case will be offered with Flat Silveror White Nike Sport band and Flat Silver or Volt Nike Sport band.
What key upgrades does the Nike+ edition has over the generic model?
Apple Watch series 2 Nike+ edition has same internal hardware has seen in the generic model such as Siri voice-assistant, 1,000 nits-based 1000-nit Retina display with Force Touch, heart-rate monitor, water-proof certification, which guarantees device can survive 50 meters underwater.
But, what's special about the Nike+ sports edition is that it comes with in-built GPS, which allows user to track their pace, distance and it also helps track routes even without the iPhone. It also comes with exclusive fitness tracking features, special perforated sweat resistant bands, new health kit with more functionalities, exclusive watch faces, and the Nike+ Run Club app, which offers personalised trainer tips, as well.
