The Indian arm of technology giant Apple has released the new generation MacBook Air notebooks - a 11-inch model and the other a 13-inch model in to the market.
The new MacBook Air devices run on the fourth-generation 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz) Haswell processor with 3MB shared L3 cache. The new chipset is expected to boost battery life up to nine hours for the 11-inch variant, whereas for the 13-inch model, it will get up to an amazing 12 hours of battery life.
Both models sport LED backlit display, 720p FaceTime HD camera and pack Intel HD Graphics 5000 engine, which is 40 percent more faster than the current notebook models.
The new MacBook Air notebook variants are now available in the market. The 11-inch model is priced - ₹67,900 for 128GB and ₹81,900 for 256GB, whereas the bigger 13-inch variant is priced ₹74,900 (128GB) and ₹88,900 (256GB) respectively. Much to the cheers of Apple fans, the company has also included the new devices under the 'Back To School' discount scheme for students as well as teachers.
The new generation MacBook Air Notebook was unveiled at Apple's recently concluded sponsored event WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conclave) 2013 in San Francisco, US (June 10-14).
