Apple iPhone XS, XR launch effect: iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7 series get price cut in India

After the launch of the new iPhone XS and XR series launch, Apple has slashed the prices of the older models including iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, iPhone 7, 7 Plus, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Just a few hours ago, Apple unveiled the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR along with the new Watch Series 4 at the iconic Steve Jobs Theater, Cupertino.

Like previous years, the company has slashed prices of the older generation iPhones. Initially, there was some confusion on social media on iPhone X being discontinued. It stemmed from the fact that the anniversary mobile was missing from the older iPhones' revised price chart shown during the lag-end of Philip W Schiller's presentation.

Now, Apple has confirmed to International Business Times India that the iPhone X (review) will continue to be sold in the country and also, it has reduced the price, as well.

Apple has reduced the price by close to Rs 13,100 on older iPhone models. As far as the iPhone X—64GB and 256GB—models are concerned, they get a not so generous price cut. Earlier they used to cost Rs 95,390 and Rs 1,08,930 and now can be bought for Rs 91,900 and Rs 1,06,900, respectively.

Apple iPhone 8—64GB and 256GB—models can be purchased for Rs 59,900 and Rs 74,900. Previously they used to cost Rs 67,940 and Rs 81,000, respectively.

Previously, the iPhone 8 Plus (review)—64GB and 256GB—models used to cost Rs 77, 560 and Rs 91,110. Now, they can be purchased for Rs 69,900 and Rs 84,900, respectively.

The 2016-series iPhone 7—32GB and 128GB—can now be grabbed for Rs 39,900 (against original Rs 60,000) and Rs 49,900 (against original Rs 70,000).

Previously, the iPhone 7 Plus—32GB &128GB—models used to cost Rs 72,000 and Rs 82,000, respectively. Now, they can be grabbed for as low as Rs 49,900 and Rs 59,900, respectively.

On the other hand, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus series—128GB models, which used to cost Rs 80,000 and Rs 60,000, respectively, can now be grabbed for Rs 44,900 and Rs 39,900, respectively.

On the other hand, the 32GB models of the iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus can now be bought for Rs 29,900 and Rs 34,900 against the original launch price of Rs 50,000 and Rs 70,000, respectively.
