Apple's new iPhone 7 series is scheduled to hit stores in the United States on Sept. 16. While, the new Apple devices are slated to be released in India on Oct. 7, some authorised re-sellers in the country have already started to take orders.
iWorld and Unicorn have opened iPhone 7 series pre-booking service in northern and western parts of India including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra (Mumbai and Pune) and Gujarat. Interested buyers can even reserve the device variant of their choice on the official website.
In iWorld, customers just have to register (HERE) by selecting the nearest franchise with name, email and mobile phone details. They will inform the consumer about the phone's availability on the date of the release and then, they can come pick it up at pre-selected stores.
On the other hand, Unicorn is charging Rs. 5,000 as advance payment, The Times of India reported.
That said, we urge our readers to refrain from paying advance to book the new iPhone 7 series till an official confirmation from the company.
International Business Times, India has reached out to Apple India and authorised re-sellers Beetel Teletech and Redington for comments on the iPhone 7 series pre-order service status in the country. They are yet to respond to our e-mails.
Apple's new iPhone 7 series price is confirmed to start from Rs. 60,000. The base model, 4.7-inch iPhone 7 (32GB), will cost Rs. 2,000 less than the last year's iPhone 6 (16GB). Price details of other storage models are expected to be revealed soon.
