Apple has confirmed to roll-out new iPhone 6S series in India on 16 October, now the company has dispatched the price details of the devices to the retailers ahead of the release next week.
Apple iPhone 6S series price starts with a whopping Rs. 62,000, whereas its phablet version's base variant (16GB) will set you back by Rs. 72,000, reported Technology Personalized.
It has been learnt that the high MRP (maximum retail price) rates of iPhone 6S series has to do with India' rupee depreciation against US dollar and the government's custom duty (12.5%) has further escalated the costs of the Apple devices.

As far as old iPhone 6 and 5S series are concerned, they expectedly have received marginal price-cuts. The former gets around Rs. 4,000 discount, whereas the latter receive as much as Rs. 10,000 off. [Check-out the table below for detailed price-list]
In a related development, Apple has joined forces with Vodafone and Airtel to make iPhone 6S series reach wider regions ahead of 16 October launch, reported The Economic Times.
This is the first time the Cupertino company has joined hands with network carrier firms well before the launch and it is also be the fastest ever an Apple product release happening in the India market to date.
