Early this week, Apple confirmed to release iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in India on 17 October.
And in that order, the American company's official affiliates Ingram Micro, Redington and Rashi Peripherals have reportedly said that iPhone 6 series smartphones will be made available for pre-booking at select leading smartphone vendors and retail shops across India starting today (7 October).
To help facilitate users to find the nearest official re-sellers in the local city, the company has opened a support page (Apple Store Locator) to pinpoint the stores with geographical locations via Maps. The company has even tagged stores –'Premium' and 'Shops', the former is recognised by Apple itself to provide premium services, whereas the latter is Apple-designed outlets located within selected Apple re-sellers and other retail shops.

After locating the nearest Apple store, users can walk in to pre-book the preferred iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus colour models: gold, silver or space gray and based on requirements choose storage variants - 16GB, 64GB or 128GB. Once done with selection, store keeper will give you a token to confirm the order and users are advised come back on 17 October and complete the transaction with the full payment.
Though some retailers (Reliance-owned Imagine Stores) have been reported to charge ₹10,000 bucks for pre-booking the device, it is not officially authorised by Apple. Users need not pay any down-payment for pre-booking Apple iPhone 6 devices.
NDTV Gadget citing sources have claimed that the Apple stores will be opened on 16 October midnight 12am (technically 17 October early morning) and if consumers fail to buy on 17 October, their chances of purchasing the device will become slim and will solely depend on the availability of device stocks in the store. They cannot take the same token to other stores to buy the iPhone 6 model.
Online retailers – Flipkart and Infibeam (Authorised Apple Reseller) have also begun taking orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Tuesday at 12pm afternoon.
