Apple fans in India are in for a pleasant surprise as e-tailers Amazon and Snapdeal have listed the iPhone 6 16GB model at a discounted price.
The discounted price is only available for online purchase of iPhone 6 models from Amazon.in and Snapdeal, whereas rival Flipkart is still selling the handset at its old price. As per Amazon's listing, iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey and Silver variants are available for ₹46,044 with free delivery and cash on delivery options.
Those who wish to have a golden hue must pay slightly higher than the other color variants. The golden iPhone has been listed for ₹46,998. With this discounted price, customers will be saving up to ₹6,000 compared to the best price offered by Flipkart.
Amazon India isn't the only e-tailer beefing up the competition in virtual retail. Snapdeal has joined the feat to offer iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey and Gold variants for just ₹45,999. Buyers will not be able to get Silver color option at the same price, but Snapdeal is offering something to make up for it. If you purchase the iPhone 6 using Axis Bank debit and credit cards, additional 10% will be slashed as cash back. HDFC debit card holders are also eligible for extra 5% cash back on the purchase.
The Union budget 2015 resulted in ₹2,500 price hike on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, 16GB iPhone 5S and 32GB iPhone 5S. While the news evidently did not please potential iPhone buyers, generous discounts from third party retailers have lined up. For a brief moment, HDFC offered generous cash backs on all iPhone purchases. Paytm also offered the best deal on iPhone 6 64GB by slashing the price so much that it almost matched the price of its 16GB variant. The offer is still valid but customers will get the discount of ₹9,000 to put down the cost of iPhone 6 64GB to ₹51,010 in form of Paytm wallet credit.
