Apple Inc's next-generation iPhone may also come in a gold variant, according to a new report.
Japanese blog Macotakara claimed that the Cupertino firm may offer the upcoming iPhone 5S in a gold colour option. Last month, images of the next generation iPhone leaked out showing the SIM card tray in two different colours - silver and bronze or gold. Earlier, this same blog had reported that iPhone 5S could come in multiple colour variants including in green and gold.
Rumours of Apple's next iteration smartphone have been doing rounds since the launch of iPhone 5. Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White had also claimed earlier this year that the device would make its debut in more than eight colours options. White also predicted that the next generation iPhone would come in different sizes.
Earlier in April, Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst, had said that the launch of iPhone 5S has been delayed as the company is facing issues in the production of its next line-up of smartphones.
On the specifications front, iPhone 5S is expected to pack new features like a snappier processor and a massive 13-megapixel camera. It is also rumoured to pack fingerprint sensor after the company acquired Authentec, a firm which deals with fingerprinting technology, in a $356 million deal in July 2012.The device is expected to be unveiled later this year.
