Apple's thinner and lighter iPhone 5 made debut in India on Friday. Online retailers and telecom operators in the country are on the run to offer consumers best deals for the device.
The much-anticipated device from the Cupertino firm was launched in partnership with Ingram Micro and Redington in the country. Earlier iPhone models came through two network carriers, namely Aircel and Airtel. These two telecoms are still the front row dealers offering the device with exciting deals. Other retailers have also come forward in offering the sixth-generation smartphone.
iPhone 5 grabbed the attention of thousands of buyers across the country, but only few have received it on the first day of launch as pre-orders had run out. Those who have not place an order for iPhone 5 still have a chance of getting hold of the device at an affordable price. Online retailers and telecom operators are now seeking to woo potential consumers with attractive pricing and plans.
The official pricing for the 16 GB version of iPhone 5 is ₹45,500. The 32GB and 64GB models are priced at ₹52,500 and ₹59,500, respectively.

Tradus is the one of the retailers offering iphone 5 for a lesser price with free shipping. iPhone 5 16 GB version is available at Tradus for ₹44,900.The device will reach the customer within four to six working days. The website has not listed the availability of other versions.
IndiaTimes Shopping
At IndiaTimes Shopping all versions of iPhone 5 are available with the official price tags. The device is available for free shipping within 15 working days. The retailer also offers the device for interest-free EMIs in two schemes - three months and six months.
Indiaplaza
Indiaplaza will receive iPhone5 models only after Nov 12 but has started taking pre-orders with the original prices. The device will be shipped for free with one year manufacturer warranty. Also, the purchase will fetch consumers surprising rewards.
Bharti Airtel
Keeping with its tradition, India's leading telecom operator Airtel has a strings of offers and plans for Apple's latest device. There is no change in the official price tag of iPhone 5 at Airtel, but consumers can avail many data plans with the purchase. Airtel has announced 50 percent discounts for the postpaid users of iPhone 5.The data plan for ₹300 is the cheapest plan available after the discount which comes bundled with 500 local minutes, 300 local and national SMS and 200MB of 3G data.
Aircel
Aircel has also announced exclusive plans for post-paid users purchasing iPhone 5. With no monthly rentals, post-paid users can get free 1GB data usage, 500 minutes of voice calls and 500 SMS per month. Once the free plan offer gets expired a regular monthly tariff will be charged. To continue with the plan after a year's period, the customer has to pay only ₹399 per month. The telecom operator will be announcing its pre-paid plans in the coming days.
Few other retailers have also listed iPhone 5 for sale but are presently out of stock as in the case of Snapdeal.
