After launching the new iPhone 6S series in India, American technology major Apple is now set to launch the flagship iPad Pro tablet series ahead of Christmas.

The Quint, citing sources inside Apple, has confirmed that the new iPad Pro price will be between Rs. 67,900 and Rs. 91,900, depending on the storage capacity and cellular support.

It is learnt that the Apple tablet will be made available in stores on 11 December across India.

In US, Apple is offering couple of accessories -- Apple Pencil (re-chargeable via Light port) and a Smart Keyboard (charcoal gray). They are priced $99 (€88/₹6,610) and $169 (€151/₹11,281) respectively.

But due to supply constraints, they will be made available little later, reported NDTV Gadgets 360.

For the uninitiated, Apple iPad Pro (and iPad Mini 4) was originally unveiled in September along with the new iPhone 6S series.

Since iPhones are cash cow of Apple, it was released first in October in India. Now, the company is ready to launch the new iPad Pro.

The new iPad Pro comes with a massive 12.9-inch display with 2732x1048p resolution display.

Under the hood, it comes packed with the company's proprietary 3rd generation Apple A9X processor, which is said to be 2.5 times faster than A7 processor.

It is backed by M9 motion co-processor, which takes care of smaller functions, to take some load off the main CPU.

Apple also unveiled the fourth generation iPad Mini. Except the compact 7.9-inch screen, the internal hardware is identical to what we see in 2014 series Apple iPad Air 2. It boasts same specifications such as A8 processor with M8 motion co-processor.

Apple iPad Pro's battery offer minimum of 10 hours of web-surfing in single charge. It also houses 8mp iSight camera on the rear-side and a 1.2mp FaceTime snapper on the front.

Besides the new iPad Pro, the company is also launching the new generation Apple TV (Set-top box) with voice-controlable remote in India. It comes in two storage variants -- 32GB and 64GB -- for Rs. 13,500 and Rs. 17,900 respectively.
