Apple iPad Air 3, which is rumoured to debut alongside iPhone 5se next month, is reportedly coming with a different moniker.
Technology blog 9to5Mac, citing sources, has revealed that Apple will retire the Air tablet series and include in the iPad Pro series. The report added further that the new device would be unveiled as "9.7-inch iPad Pro" on March 15 and could hit the stores in the same week on Mar. 18.
The new iPad is expected to boast an advanced display technology to support the Apple Pencil inputs like the original iPad Pro, "Smart Connector," to dock the keyboard and also house a LED flash on the rear-side to capture good pictures under a low-light environment. It is also said to come with four speakers to provide an enhanced audio experience.
As far as iPhone 5se is concerned, it is expected to feature a sleek design language similar to the iPhone 6 series, but will come with a smaller stature (4.0-inch).
Under the hood, it is said to come packed with the Apple A9 processor, M9 co-processor, 8MP primary camera on the rear-side and 1.2MP FaceTime camera, Bluetooth 4.2, , 802.11ac Wi-Fi chips, VoLTE (Voice over LTE), NFC (Near Field Communications) and the contact-less Apple Pay feature.
Besides the new iPad and iPhone 5se, Apple is also expected to release new wrist bands for the Watch.
