Apple's two new iPads, the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, have finally hit the stores in India, a week after the products went live on Flipkart and Infibeam for pre-orders. It was widely reported that the new iPads will be available in brick and mortar stores over the weekend and an authorized Apple channel partner had confirmed the same.
Apple will continue the sales of the high-end iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 through its partner sites, Flipkart and Infibeam in India, while the nearest retail outlets to pick the new tablets can be located on Apple's store finder.
The higher-end iPad Air 2 comes in two variants, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular, with three storage options. The 16GB version of the Wi-Fi iPad Air 2 starts at ₹35,900, while the 64GB version costs ₹42,900. The Wi-Fi-only model with 128GB storage costs a premium of ₹49,900. The prices increase by flat ₹10,000 if customers want to pick up the iPad Air 2 with both Wi-Fi and cellular support.
As for the iPad mini 3, the 16GB version with Wi-Fi-only support starts at ₹28,900. The cellular option in the iPad Mini 3 will cost an additional ₹10,000, at ₹38,900. If customers want to add more storage on board, the 64GB version of the iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi only model costs ₹35,900 and the cellular model costs ₹45,900. The high-end iPad mini 3 with 128GB storage costs ₹42,900 for the Wi-Fi only option and ₹52,900 for both Wi-Fi and cellular.
