Users of Apple iOS 8.2 based iPhone, iPad and iPod Touches are still wondering if it is possible to jailbreak the OS.
There are some big expectations and rumours hovering around Chinese jailbreak group TaiG. The rumours made the users optimistic by asserting that TaiG might release a new update at Mobile Security Summit, set to take place in Beijing, China. The rumours also mentioned that the latest update can potentially jailbreak the iOS 8.2 systems.
According to an earlier statement, TaiG asserted about a new version, which could apparently jailbreak the iOS 8.2 based devices. While they later mentioned in a blog post that they want to release the update as soon as possible, the brand didn't really reject the speculations, probably in a bid to fuel curiosity.
The Chinese developer group has already released Windows OS based jailbreak tools for iOS 8.1.1, iOS 8.1.2, iOS 8.2 Beta 1 and Beta 2. The TaiG tool also supports iTunes 12.1. The latest available edition of TaiG tool V1.3.0 can jailbreak iOS 8.2 Beta 2 devices and V1.2.21 can jailbreak iOS8.0 to iOS 8.12 based devices.
The latest statement from TaiG regarding the JailBreak update reads: "On 27th March, TaiG Jailbreak Team held the 2015 Mobile Security Summit (MSS) in China Beijing. The purpose of this summit was to create a platform for world top jailbreak developer to have an open communication, and then prepare for the better untethered jailbreak in the future.
"The development and release of a jailbreak tool was restricted to several factors, however what TaiG Jailbreak Team wanted is to release the jailbreak of iOS 8.2 as soon as possible.
"But at present, rumors about TaiG Jailbreak Team has already released the iOS 8.2 Jailbreak Tool were spreading in the internet. Any information outside of TaiG Jailbreak Team official news channel should not be trusted."
