Apple's iOS 10, which has officially begun seeding to users of many iPhones and iPads, is also available for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C. But at this point in time, the latter category would not be able to enjoy some of the most important functions offered by users of Apple's new operating system.
The above predicament stands true due to the hardware limitations of the relatively older (and now legacy) iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C smartphones.
Here is a list of features that you would need to check out on the newer Apple iPhones:
- As far as the new Camera features offered by the iOS 10 are concerned, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C users will not be able to use slow-motion video capture functionality within the Camera application. Also, the Memories feature introduced by the Photos app would not work.
- The Raise to Wake feature is not available for iPhone 5/iPhone 5C users. This functionality is more restricted and is not available to users of iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6 either.
- Finally, users have stated that the iOS 10 within iPhone 5/iPhone 5C would not display a list of voicemail messages that are recorded within the handsets. This feature is called Voicemail Transcription. However, this aspect needs practical verification.
