Skywatchers all over the world are waiting for July 27, 2018, to witness the longest lunar eclipse in the 21st century but some conspiracy theorists have woken up to the opportunity it provides otherwise.
The doomsday theorists have started claiming that the upcoming blood moon is a sign of an imminent apocalypse. Extreme Christian believers, including televangelist Paul Begley, argue that the upcoming cosmic event is an indication of the so-called impending doom.
In a recent video, Paul Begley revealed that July 27 will mark the final page in the history of mankind. The televangelist also made it clear that he is making these predictions based on biblical prophecies.
As these predictions have gone viral, the general public is pondering over the fact -- Whether the Bible has actually talked about the blood moon and other celestial events.
According to Biblical experts, there is no such term as 'Blood Moon' in the Bible. However, there are many references in the Bible where the moon turns red or dark before doomsday.
As per the King James version of the Bible, Book of Joel Chapter 2, earthquakes will happen when the sun and moon turn dark, and the stars will withdraw from shining.
"The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tumble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?," read the King James version of the Bible, Express.co.uk reports.
The Book of Revelation has also talked about the natural disasters which will hit the earth when the moon turns darker.
In the meantime, a section of conspiracy theorists has started arguing that the upcoming blood moon is a sign of Nibiru's arrival. As per these theorists, Planet X is now hurtling towards the earth, and once it hits our planet, natural disasters will be triggered everywhere.
A few months ago, self-proclaimed Nibiru researcher David Meade revealed that Nibiru will first appear in the skies between June and December 2018. Meade argues that the arrival of Nibiru will mark the beginning of a seven-year tribulation period on the planet where humans will witness a rise in natural disasters. After the tribulation period, the world will go through thousand years of peace, and finally, the world will end forever.
In the meantime, a group of scientists has discovered 12 new moons orbiting around Jupiter while searching for the alleged killer planet Nibiru. Conspiracy theorists believe that these 12 newly-found moons might actually be the remains of planetary bodies reached in Jupiter's orbit after its collision with Nibiru.
