Malayalam actress Anusree had shared about the exorbitantly priced snacks at a coffee shop in Thiruvananthapuram airport through a Facebook post last month. The post went viral on social media with many sharing trolls and memes on the matter.

Now, the Kerala State Human Rights Commission has ordered a probe against the Kitchen Restaurant at the airport for charging Rs 680 for a black tea, coffee and two chicken puffs. The Commission has also directed the airport director, Consumer Affairs Department Secretary, Food Safety Commissioner, Legal Metrology Commissioner and Kitchen Restaurant manager to submit a report on the same within a month.

Anusree, who was shocked to see the bill she received from the coffee shop in airport had shared the photo of the bill on her Facebook along with a post that read: "Friends, today morning I had to pay Rs 680 for having two black coffee and puffs from the coffee shop Kitchen Restaurant at Trivandrum International Terminal. International airport, please do not shock us like this. NB: I share this in a hope that the authorities will do the right things for the common people [translated from Malayalam].

Soon, it had gone viral paving way for many creative heads, who made the puff story a big news in the form of trolls and memes. Overwhelmed by the response of the netizens, the Maheshinte Prathikaram actress had also shared more than 40 memes on her Facebook page.
