Anushka Shetty is one of the most-talented actresses down South. She has achieved several rare feats in her decade-old acting career and now she will put on 100 kg for the comeback movie of ace director K Raghavendra Rao's son Prakash Kovelamudi.
Actor-turned-director Prakash Kovelamudi, who is known for his "Bommalata" and "Anaganaga O Dheerudu", is all set to return to direction with a female-centric film. He has roped in Anushka Shetty for the protagonist's role in the movie, which is yet-to-be titled. Reports suggest that she will play a double role in the movie and will put on weight for one of the two roles.
"Anushka may be doing this for her next movie in K Prakash's direction. The movie has been commenced by PVP Cinema and it is in preproduction. Anushka is going to play a double role and one of the role is about a fat lady. For this, she may be required to get into the 100 kilo figure," reports 123Telugu.
Meanwhile, a source from the industry confirmed that she will be gaining access kilos for the role. "Actually, Anushka is playing two characters in the film and one character needs to put on some weight. But don't think that she needs to put on weight because it is an action film," Deccan Chronicle quotes the source as saying.
This untitled movie is a regular social drama and will go on the floors soon. Anushka Shetty, who is busy shooting for upcoming movies such as "Rudhramadevi" and "Baahubali", is expected to take up this project after wrapping up the two films.
