Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli shocked the world when they tied the knot on December 11 in Tuscany, Italy. The wedding was attended by close family and a few friends at a luxurious resort amid high security.
Soon after the newly-wedded couple shared pictures from their wedding ceremony, several Bollywood celebrities extended warm wishes to both Anushka and Virat.
Shah Rukh Khan, who was Anushka's first co-star in her debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, shared a sweet message to the newly-weds. He wrote: "Ab yeh hui na real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. My love to both @anushkasharma & @virat.kohli May God bless u with happiness & health.''

Interestingly, the 2008 film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was released on the same day as Anushka's wedding. No wonder, December 12 holds a special place in Anushka's life and so she may have carefully chosen the special day.
After the private wedding, Anushka and Virat released a joint statement on Twitter, "Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share this wonderful news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey."
The couple will be hosting a reception in New Delhi on December 21 for their relatives. This will be followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers on December 26 in Mumbai.
