The dangerous "Sultan" and "Raees" clash looked inevitable at one point, but the situation seems to have bettered over time.
After Shah Rukh Khan said the release dates (both films have blocked Eid) of Raees could be rescheduled as the makers of the other film are his friends, a source informed BollywoodLife it's Anushka Sharma who is responsible for preventing the box-office battle.
Because YRF honcho Aditya Chopra took his own time to finalise the leading lady of the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, the film may see a delay. "'Sultan' and 'Raees' won't clash on Eid anymore. Aditya Chopra and Salman Khan took a long time in finalising the leading actress of the film, and though Salman has shot for various portions of the film already, a lot of shots and post-production work are still pending," the insider said.
Also, Sharma needs to look a certain way, for which she requires extensive training, and that, for sure, will take a few weeks. "This means Sultan will still be on the floors till April-end, and the makers won't be able to complete all the post-production work till Eid. It seems the producers will now look for another suitable release date and make an official announcement soon," added the source.
Another interesting bit is Ranbir Kapoor's statement about "Ae Dil Mushkil", in which he said the team would begin the final schedule sometime in March. This could mean one of two things: Either Sharma will devote all of her time to the Karan Johar film, or shuttle between the two projects for that month.
