After Karan Johar announced his next directorial "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, and Ranbir Kapoor, the "PK" star made a statement, which reeks a bit of insecurity.
"We start shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil from July next year. The film is not a triangular love story and I play the female lead in the film. I am very excited to start shooting for the film," Bollywood Life quoted the leggy lass as saying.
Well, wonder what Mrs Bachchan would have to say about this. Considering the number of years she has had in the film industry, she wouldn't agree on doing a supporting role at this stage of her career. While, these bits of information are yet to be known, what's more interesting is how the former beauty queen said yes to the Johar's project.
Reportedly, when the script was first read out to her, she didn't like it.
"Karan had jokingly mentioned about his film to Ash at one of Bachchan's house parties. However, the former Miss World didn't take the offer seriously as she had signed Jazbaa. After a lot of sleepless nights, the Bombay Velvet baddie finally messaged Bachchan bahu that he can't make his film without her," BL quoted an insider as saying.
In other news, Kapoor and Sharma have apparently signed on because of their incredible on-screen chemistry. Johar, who makes his big-screen debut in a negative role with Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet", was privy to the equation the two lead actors share with each other.
To be shot in Delhi, Paris, New York and London, the film is slated for a release June 3, 2016.
While Kapoor will be next seen Imitiaz Ali's "Tamaasha" alongside ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone, Sharma will feature in Aamir Khan's "PK" and her home production "NH10".
