After breaking several records and setting new benchmarks at the Sandalwood box office, Anup Bhandari's blockbuster "RangiTaranga" is adding one more feather to its cap. Well, it is now set to become the first Kannada movie to release in France.
"RangiTaranga" is hitting the screens in Paris on March 13 and the news has been formally confirmed by director Anup Bhandari himself on his Facebook account.
He wrote, "I had thought that my next update should be about our next project but this was something I had to share. "RangiTaranga" is releasing in Paris, France, with "French subtitles" on March 13 and will be watched by the French media and audience."
"Also I have been told it is the first Kannada film to commercially release there. Here is the trailer with French subtitles. Thanks to Sathish Sastry for making this possible. Releasing in Kenya on April 3 and lot more to follow. Will soon update about our next project," he added.
The trailer of the movie with French subtitles has also been released.
"RangiTaranga" was the sleeper hit in Sandalwood in 2015. The movie was released July 3, a week before magnum opus "Baahubali" hit the screens worldwide with a bang. The Kannada movie was initially affected by the multilingual movie directed by SS Rajamouli.
But "RangiTaranga" managed to get good word-of-mouth and continued to perform in the later weeks. In the end, Anup Bhandari's film became one of the biggest hits of Sandalwood. Later, it was also released in the US and did a record business.
The mystery thriller featured Nirup Bhandari, Avantika Shetty, Radhika Chetan and Saikumar in the important roles.
