The family of murdered Indian student Anuj Bidve performed his last rites in Pune after bringing his body from London Saturday night.
The 23-year old student at the Lancaster University was killed in Manchester on Boxing Day. He was shot in the head at close range Dec 26 when he was walking along Ordsall Lane with friends.
Anuj's father had found out about his son's death on Facebook before the UK officials contacted him.
Bidve's parents visited the spot in Salford where he was shot dead Friday. They appealed to the UK government for justice.
"We have faith in the British judiciary," CNN IBN Live quoted Anuj's father Subhash Bidve as saying.
A 20-year-old man, who calls himself Psycho Stapleton, has been charged with Anuj's murder. However, the UK police termed the murder as a motiveless crime.
