The makers of "Kabali" are reportedly getting ready to thrill Rajinikanth's fans with one more teaser. A video clip of the upcoming Tamil movie is expected to be revealed before the movie gets a censor certificate.
"Mammoth record WW release planned on July 22... #Kabali.. Expecting censor and new video teaser soon.. #Rajinikanth. [sic]," journalist Kaushik posted on Twitter. The first teaser of the Tamil film has got an earth-shattering response from the audience all across the globe. So far, it has got 2.4 crore hits, with 4.42 lakh likes. The second teaser (the 'Neruppu Du' song video) was also received well by the audience.
The date of the film's release would be officially announced by the makers only after it gets censor board certification. As per rules, the date of a film's release date cannot be announced without getting clearance from the regional censor board.
"#KabaliCensor Producer Thanu has applied for Censor for the most expected movie of the decade, [sic]," industry tracker Sathish tweeted.
"Kabali" will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. It has been said all this while that the film would hit the screens on July 15. However, reports now say that it would be out on July 22. The Malay version of the movie will be released a week later.
Meanwhile, the makers of "Kabali" have sold all the theatrical rights in India. Journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Kabali in Tamil/Telugu/Hindi now all India theatrical rights for all areas sold out before release. Fabulous. [sic]"
Fox Star India has acquired the theatrical rights of the North Indian region while its sister concern Star TV has bought the satellite rights of its Hindi version. Jaya TV has bought the satellite rights of the Tamil version of "Kabali."
The movie has been written and directed by the two-film old Pa Ranjith. It tells the story of an ageing gangster. "Kabali" also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Kishore, Kalaiyarasan and others.
