Bollywood newbie Sushant Singh Rajput is recently said to have faced the wrath of girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, with rumours suggesting that the actress had slapped Sushant in public. But the latter has now has denied the reports as baseless.
Ankita is said to have openly expressed her anger and had allegedly slapped the actor in front of Yash Raj Studios after going through his phone.
But the "Pavitra Rishta" actress has dismissed the report. "There is no truth to it. It has not happened outside YRF as reported. It is absolutely wrong. I can never ever slap Sushant," Press Trust of India quoted her as saying.
"I do lot of things every day for which I deserve a slap but that has not happened unfortunately yet. Our relationship is quite sorted out... People like to spice it all," Sushant said, adding humour to the buzz.
Sushant and Ankita have been going strong as couple since their television days. Before the actor's foray into films, the duo was a household name courtesy their telly soap.
Naturally, there have been repeated speculations about the couple getting married and it is believed that Sushant's rising movie career has led the marriage to take a back seat. But in a recent interview he revealed otherwise.
"I am ready, but Ankita is taking her time, may be by the end of the year or next year," Sushant told Mumbai Mirror.
The "Kai Po Che" star also informed that Ankita was indeed offered a role in Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" but things failed to work out in her favour.
Sushant presently has his hands full with Shekhar Kapur's "Paani" and Dibakar Bannerjee's detective thriller "Byomkesh Bakshi." He will next be seen in a supporting role in Aamir Khan's "Peekay".
