Ever since the first season of Anil Kapoor's television series "24" went off air, the viewers have been eagerly waiting for the new season.
Even as earlier reports said television actress Sakshi Tanwar of "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain" fame had been roped in to play an important role on the show, SpotboyE recently reported that the actress will be seen as an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief.
Sakshi, who is known for sporting traditional outfits, will be seen sporting Indian wear in the thriller as well. Apparently, she has already shot some of the scenes in Pune.
It was reported earlier that Sakshi and Anil's characters will eventually become close friends while solving a particular case. "Anil will be seen turning an alcoholic in the opening of the second instalment. Sakshi will be seen as his friend, who helps him turn sober and also aids him in solving the case," a source had earlier told SpotboyE.
Besides Sakshi, Sikandar Kher is also beliveed to be a part of the upcoming second instalment of the show. The actor will be seen in a negative role for the first time. "I am playing a negative character in the show. I am thrilled as it is completely different, something which I haven't attempted before. Shooting it was great fun and I had a good time on the sets. Now I am waiting for the audience's reaction," Sikandar had told in a statement, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
In other news, Sakshi will also be seen as Aamir Khan's wife in "Dangal," which is slated to be released during Christmas holidays. Apparently, the television Bahu has also been roped in to play a key role in TV show "Rani Mahal," which is supposedly the Indian version of HBO's widely popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Sakshi will reportedly be seen playing the character of Daenerys Targaryen on the series.
