Angelina Jolie has donned many roles in her life. She's been a wife, mother, a stellar actress and now, a director. Her latest film "By The Sea" is scheduled to release in fall and it might be the last time Angie and Brad appear as husband and wife. Angie's film resonates with problems in her marriage. The couple is rumoured to get a divorce after "By The Sea" releases.
While the trailer for "By The Sea" is out, Angie opened up about the problems that dogged her married life. In an interview to Director's Guild Academy, Angie said that she and Brad were inspired by their angsty marriage while enacting scenes of the troubled couple onscreen.
She said, ""I'd be directing myself and him in a scene where we're having a fight, and I'd be pulling out the parts [of him] that have an aggression toward me or when you're frustrated with each other—it was very heavy."
The newly released trailer captures a marriage in which the two lead extremely independent lives. "By The Sea's" trailer focuses on Angie and Brad's dysfunctional relationship and depicts several scenes in which Brad is seen drinking. The irony is not lost on us.
A few months ago, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Brad's drinking problem troubled Angie. She even banned beer in the house, according to the report. Perhaps she lived through that trauma while shooting the film.
Nevertheless, on a light hearted note, she said that Brad and her joked about their fights on set. ""We kept joking that all of the crew felt like they were living in a house where the parents were fighting and you don't know where to stand or where to look."
"By The Sea" revolves around the lives of two people stuck in a violent, almost non-existent marriage. The film's plot is set in France where the protagonists meet a newly married couple who live in the same sea-side inn.
