It's official now. After months of speculations that there is trouble in heaven, celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are famously known by the name Brangelica among their fans and media, has parted ways. Angelina has filed for a divorce from her husband, ending their 12 years relationship.
Angelina Jolie's lawyer Robert Offer has confirmed that the couple has ended their two-year-old marriage, reported BBC. He didn't disclose the exact reason for the divorce but said that the actress took the decision "for the health of the family." He said in a statement that his client "will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
It has been rumoured for months that Brad Pitt (52) and Angelina Jolie (41) were on the verge of a breakup but they have been denying all this while until Angelina decided to make it public.
The celebrity couple met in 2004 on the sets of "Mr & Mrs Smith" and fell in love. They married on Aug. 23, 2014, in a private ceremony in Chateau Miraval, France. However, their marriage didn't last long, as Angelina has filed for divorce on Sept. 19 citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple has six children together - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
