Malayalam actor Sarath Kumar married Reshma in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, April 25. While some of you may wonder who Sarath is, diehard Mollywood fans may remember the actor's debut performance in the critically acclaimed movie Angamaly Diaries.

The movie, which starred as many as 86 newcomers in significant roles, featured Sarath as Appani Ravi. The character's name in the Lijo Jose Pellissery-directed film is enough for cine-goers to recognise the talented artiste, as he was one of the actors who garnered immense positive response for his work. He was appreciated for his natural mannerisms and performance in the realistic entertainer.

The wedding ceremony of the couple took place at Attukal Temple in the capital city and the private event was attended by their close friends and family. The duo has been in a close relationship for quite some time now. Sarath, a native of Aruvikkara, is a student at Sanskrit College in Kalady. He has been roped in to play a significant role in the Sunny Wayne-starrer, Pokkiri Simon.

Angamaly Diaries, scripted by actor Chemban Vinod Jose, narrates the life of people in Angamaly, their love for non-vegetarian food, their pork business, and instances of violence. Almost all the celebrities of the Mollywood industry, including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nivin Pauly, praised the team of Angamaly Diaries for the impressive storyline and performances of each actor. Even Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Kannada superstar Shivraj Kumar were all praise for the movie, which was tagged by some as the "film of the year".
