Indigenous smartphone maker, Xolo has finally begun rolling out the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS update to the company's first flagship quad-core handset Q800.
Few days ago, the company at its routine public discussion forum 'Tech Tuesday' had assured fans to release the OS update to Q800 by the end of the week. On Sunday (29 December), a couple of Xolo Q800 owners at a technology blog platform - 'Think Digit forum' confirmed that their smartphone received the new update.
A user bearing a moniker 'bee' said that his Xolo Q800 got an OTA (Over-The-Air) notification for v4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS update.
While the company is yet to publish the change log on its official website, we can expect the new update to come with bug fixes, performance boost, new notifications panel, re-designed clock (both digital and analog), new photography tools and more.
Xolo Q800 made its debut way back in March. It sported a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960p) display and natively ran on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean, backed by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 graphics engine. It is currently available in the market with a price-tag of ₹10,999 at Saholic.
In related news, Xolo has also confirmed to release the new KitKat update to Q700 smartphone early next year around January.
