Google had launched the second developer preview of its latest operating system Android O at its recently concluded Google I/O event. The company is yet to announce when it will be made available to the public, but Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has confirmed that its popular handsets OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will receive the Android O update.
The search giant's new operating system Android O has some impressive features like Fluid Experiences and machine learning tool TensorFlow Lite, and cool tools including Picture-in-Picture, Smart Text Selection, Auto-Fill and Notification Dots.

OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau has announced on Twitter that the company's flagships -- OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T -- that were released last year will get Android O update. However, he didn't reveal the tentative date for the arrival of the new operating system.

The first developer preview of the Android O was released to a few Google handsets a few weeks before the second preview was rolled out at the Google I/O event. The third preview is expected to be released in mid-June and the fourth in mid-July before the final version is rolled out in the third quarter of this year, perhaps in August.
It may be noted that OnePlus 3 was released running Android Marshmallow operating system before it got the Nougat update. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with 1,920x1,080 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, a 64GB internal memory (no microSD card slot), and a 6GB RAM. It also has a 16MP Sony IMX 298 Sensor main camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, LED flash, 1.12 µm, an 8MP Sony IMX179 front-snapper with 1.4 µm and f/2.0 aperture, and a 3,000mAh battery.
OnePlus 3T also came running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based OxygenOS before it received Android Nougat update. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with 1,920x1,080 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, a 64GB/128GB internal memory, and a 6GB RAM. It mounts a 16MP main camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, 1.12µm lens, OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation), f/ 2.0 aperture and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus and a 16MP camera with Samsung 3P8SP sensor, 1.0µm lens, EIS, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture, and houses a 3,400mAh battery with Dash Charge technology (5V, 4A).
